Day Trip to Hever in Bloom and Castle (23 June 2026)

We had a fabulous day at Hever Castle. On arrival, the skies cleared and the sun shone for us all. (We were fortunate not have chosen a couple of days later when temperatures approached 40 degrees Celsius and may well have hindered our enjoyment of the grounds!)

It was almost midsummer, at a castle which was once the home of Anne Boleyn and includes many historical exhibits, such as Tudor portraits, furniture, and antique books, as well as viewing the splendid 14th century castle.

Hever in Bloom 2026 showcased the glorious gardens at Hever Castle at the height of their summer beauty, with one of the finest displays of roses and summer blooms in the ‘Garden of England’.

During the visit we were able to experience a Floral Demonstration, Gin tasting, Floral Displays in the Castle, an Image of Anne Boleyn Exhibition in the Castle, and self-guided tours of gardens, Italian Rose gardens and grounds.

This was all complemented by an excellent lunch which included a drink (alcoholic for those fancying it!)
