Day Trip to Ightham Mote (24 September 2025)

On Wednesday 24 September we visited Ightham near Sevenoaks

  • We firstly visited National Trust's Ightham Mote with its outstanding 14th Century romantic moated manor house which has been beautifully restored over the last 40 years. The manor house provides 700 years of history, architecture and stories under one roof and is set in over 500 acres of various tranquil gardens, orchard and water features, lakes and woodland.
  • Private Introductory talks were arranged before visiting the manor house and grounds.
  • Lunch was provided in the centre of the lovely village of Ightham at the delightful 14th century George and Dragon pub.
  • Once refreshed we ended our trip with a visit to the Grade I listed village church of St Peter’s.
